High Standards
True & Bare products are made in our workshops in Somerset, England to the same premium and ethical standards. The True & Bare product has also been judged the most ethical producer of multi-surface sprays and washing up liquid by Ethical Consumer.
True & Bare products are suitable for people with sensitive skin and do not contain SLS or SLES — common skin irritants in household cleaners but all of our products are certified ‘allergy friendly’ by Allergy UK.
True & Bare products are baby and child friendly, made from a palette of non-toxic, low allergen ingredients.
True & Bare products are also perfect for use with pets and you’ll find our multi-surface sprays are particularly useful for cleaning areas where your pets roam. True & Bare products are also completely safe for parrots, which can be seriously affected by certain cleaning chemicals.
None of the True & Bare products contain palm oil as an ingredient. While the destruction of tropical rain forests continues as land is cultivated with palm plantations, True & Bare products do not contain palm oil whether RSPO certified or not. Occasionally, a surfactant that we use may have been processed using a small amount of palm oil. However, when we buy these surfactants, we always buy Mass Balance (MB) grade which is the highest industry standard for environmental credentials and is the most ethical.
True & Bare bottles are made from biopolymers produced from sugar cane waste. Conventional plastic is usually made from oil and natural gas which are non-renewables and would not support our efforts as an environmentally friendly business.
By using renewable sugar cane, not only do we end up with a sustainable type of plastic, but it also captures CO2 during production, greatly reducing greenhouse gases generated during the manufacturing process. This plastic is also 100% recyclable as PET, which means that all local authority kerbside recycling schemes should recycle True & Bare bottles which will help to reduce landfill dumping.
True & Bare displays the “I’m Green” trademark seal on our labels to tell our customers that we are using biopolymer bottles not conventional plastic.
